For the love of edtech

Can you name any other industry quite as influential, transformative and booming?

There are many things I love about the edtech sector – from its fast-paced rate of development to its constant boundary-breaking nature. The juxtaposition of education, a sector that, whether right or wrong, is still largely built around tradition; against the likes of technology, which is progressive and ever evolving, means no two days are the same when it comes to the editorial exploration and coverage of this unique space.

Can you name any other industry quite as influential, transformative and ultimately booming as edtech? Answers on a postcard, please. The market is burgeoning with ingenuity and enriched by innovation. The likes of virtual reality (VR), 3D printing and cloud computing, as just a few examples, have revolutionised not just the way we learn, but also the way we live. Many former edtech ‘naysayers’ have changed their perspective as a result, sparking an edtech uprising that has firmly placed the process of teaching and learning into the digital age. Now, there’s no going back.

I’m off on a new editorial adventure in a whole new sector but for all the reasons above, and countless more, I’ll miss working in edtech. I truly feel I have grown, both professionally and creatively, alongside this powerful industry. Edtech, you’ve been a blast and I thank you dearly for all that you’ve shown me. I’ll never forget my journey with you.
